Comparing the Best Frequent Flyer Rewards Cards

You've finally taken your last exam, you've graduated and gotten your first job. This job requires you to travel frequently. Now it's time to get a frequent flyer rewards credit card to use with your travels.

Whether you're a frequent flyer or an occasional flyer, having a credit card with airline rewards is certainly going to be one works only for your benefit. There are many credit cards like these out there, so do your research first and compare each of the cards to find the one that is right for you.

As beneficial as these cards are, there are some drawbacks. One particular drawback is that there is an annual fee required to have an airline rewards credit card. So, in order to get the rewards of the card you must pay a fee once a year. It is up to you to figure out if your card is worth having based on the annual fee and the number of miles you have to earn for a plane ticket.

In addition, your airline miles card may have travel restrictions that limit your travel time. There may be restrictions such as blackout dates, or expiration dates on travel miles. If you don't use your travel miles within a certain window of time, then you will lose those miles and all the money that you spent using your credit card would have been a complete waste of money.

If you know ahead of time that you will not be using your travel miles for while because you don't have any particular travel destination, then the best thing for you to do is contact your airline and find out if they will offer you an option of trading some of your sky miles for merchandise. This way, you can get something for what you put into using your credit card for purchases.

There are some other benefits you should look for as well with airline credit cards. One of these benefits is bonus miles just for signing up. Some airline credit cards offer things like 10,000 bonus miles just for filling out an application. Also, you may be able to receive even more rewards. Contact your airline miles credit card program to find out if you are able to earn things like double or triple miles on your regular purchases. This way you will earn 2-3 points for every $1 you spend. Now that's a great deal!

Make sure you know what necessary steps you have to take to redeem your rewards so that when you're ready to redeem your frequent flyer rewards, you're not stuck on hold with customer service.

Enjoy your travels!

Make travel affordable with these airline miles credit cards. Or if you prefer to just get cash back on credit card purchases, these cash back credit cards are a great option too.
