Formally known as Electronic Travel Authority, an ETA visa is an equivalent to a visa. It is an electronically stored visa so there is no stamp or label put in your passport and you do not need to visit an Australian diplomatic office to submit an application.

Who is this Visa for?
This visa is intended for overseas passport holders of ETA eligible countries who want come to Australia for short-term visits of up to 3 months for the purpose of a holiday, tourism, recreation or for informal study.

Visitor Short Stay (Subclass 676) Visa

What Is This Visa?
This is a temporary visa that allows people to stay in Australia for a short holiday.

Who is this Visa for?

For overseas people who want to visit Australia of up to three or six or 12 months for a holiday or recreation, or to visit family and friends or to study for less than three months

What are its visa requirements?

To be eligible, applicants must:
have sufficient funds to cover all costs for the duration of your stay in Australia,
have an "incentive to return";
meet character and health requirements;

Family Sponsored - Visitor Short Stay (Subclass 679) Visa

What Is This Visa?
This visa allows people to travel to Australia to take a holiday or visit their family

Who is this Visa for?
For people that have family member-resident in Australia who are willing to sponsor them to come to Australia for a short holiday.

What are its visa requirements?To be eligible, applicants must:
lodge their own visa application and have an eligible sponsor
have sufficient funds to cover all costs of the triphave an "incentive to return";
meet character and health requirements;
Business Short Stay Visas

Business ETA (Subclass 977) Visa
What Is This Visa?
This is a type of ETA visa that allows people to visit Australia for short-term business purposes

Who is this Visa for?
For people want to visit Australia for a short period for business meetings, conventions, conferences; or a short term project requiring a high level of skill and are able to be granted an online electronic visa.

What are its visa requirements?
To be eligible, applicants must:

hold a citizen passport of an ETA eligible country
lodge their travel visa to Australia application outside Australia

Business Short Stay (Subclass 456) Visa
What Is This Visa?
This visa allows business people to make a short business visit to Australia for up to 3 months during your visa validity period.

Who is this Visa for?
For people want to come to Australia for a short period for business meetings, conventions, conferences, negotiation or exploratory business visit; or a short term project requiring a high level of skill

What are its visa requirements?

To be eligible, applicants must:
provide evidence that their personal attributes and business background are relevant to their business activities in Australia
have enough funds to support their self and their family during their stay in Australia
must meet certain health and character requirements

All of these Australian tourist visa can be lodged either online, by post or in person at the nearest departmental office outside Australia.
