Best Tips in Staying Safe in a Golf CourseSubmitted by Irina M Fri, 16 Jan 2009
There are a number of great Grupo Mayan golf courses all over Mexico. In fact, you’re not only treated with the greens, but you can also fascinate yourself with the remarkable views. We’re talking about lush rainforests, excellent seaside sceneries, and plenty of trails that will lead to more adventure.
However, even if you’re already surrounded with serene sceneries, and even if they are using Grupo Mayan’s world-class facilities, there will always be the possibility that they can get themselves in an accident. That’s why it’s very important that you bring along with you these safety tips during tee time: 1. Stop minding your own business. The good thing about Grupo Mayan golf is that it’s a non-contact sport. If you lose, it’s your fault. But then there are other players out there, swinging clubs and hitting balls. It’s best if you will also be aware of your surroundings. Are there flying balls? Is someone near you trying to make a hit? You don’t want to be hurt by a golf club. 2. Respect those who are before you. It’s already an unwritten rule in playing Grupo Mayan golf: you don’t take over a group simply because they’re slow or taking their own sweet time. It’s considered impolite, and you are surely going to catch the ire of others. You can look for other courses for the mean time or even practice your swings. Better yet, take a good rest. Playing golf can be exhausting too, and if you want to win the game, you have to put as much energy as you can to every swing and hit. 3. Stay away from the Grupo Mayan golf course if it’s raining. Fortunately, Mexico is blessed with good weather for almost the entire time of the year. Nevertheless, you can’t really prevent rain from falling. At this moment, you may want to stay away for a while since the wetness may prevent you from holding your clubs properly. Worse, if lightning comes out, you could suffer from electrocution. Metal clubs do conduct electricity. 4. Follow the rules. Grupo Mayan golf courses do have rules that you strictly need to follow. They are not only meant to keep you safe when you’re playing but to also promote orderliness and harmony among players. If you don’t stick with them, there’s a huge chance that you can no longer spend some good time here. There could be times that you have issues with the laws. You may want to take it to the management, though. 5. Give yourself and others as much space as possible. There’s a good reason why Grupo Mayan golf courses cover acres of land. You don’t want to end up hitting yourself or others with your golf clubs and balls. These things are very hard and can definitely cause serious damage. As they say, practice makes perfect. You can reduce accidents if you can learn as much as you can about golf before you decide to go into the playing field. About the Author
