If you're interested in seeing some wildlife on your next holiday, there are all kinds of places you can go. The options are almost endless, and there are both country and city venues where you can see animals, birds, and insects in their natural habitat. The only difficult part of the holiday will be choosing where to go among the great locations you have to choose from. What kind of wildlife you're looking for will have a lot to do with that, because you can't always see what you're looking for in every area. Some animals are native to a particular area, some make their homes under certain conditions, and some have been forced out of certain areas by their predators or by man. In order to have the kind of holiday adventure you and your traveling companions want, do a little bit of research so you can be sure that you're getting what you're most interested in. To help get you started on your planning, here are 12 of Britain's best wildlife breaks and the animals you'll be most likely to find there:

Cornwall - Dolphins
Dorset - Red Squirrels
Exmoor - Red Deer
London - Bats
Pembrokeshire - Shearwaters
Carmarthenshire - Red Kites
Norfolk - Seals
Cumbria - Golden Eagles
Northumberland - Otters
Argyll & Bute - Beavers
Mull - Minke Whales
Perth & Kinross - Ospreys

It's easy to see that the wildlife of Britain is quite varied. There are a lot of birds and marine life, but there are plenty of other animals to be seen, as well. By keeping that in mind and taking into account what your traveling companions are interested in, you'll be able to plan a great holiday trip. If you have time, you can also go to a couple of different places so that you can see more than one type of animal on your adventure. Some people love to spend time watching animals, and the best time of year to do that varies depending on the animal, so make sure you check into that before you go and schedule your holiday to one of the places listed above. If you go at the wrong time of year you might miss out on the main reason for your trip. Careful planning can mean a wonderful holiday adventure filled with the great experiences that nature has to offer, and that's true of any animals that you're fascinated by and that you go to view on your trip.
