Different Ways of Romance with Kerala Honeymoon Packages

Submitted by nituwebtech

It was in Jan that I got married; we started deliberating on our Kerala Honeymoon right from November. There were all the right reasons for us to choose Kerala. Two things which are most important are safety and hygiene and after weeks of research we inferred that a Kerala honeymoon trip would be the perfect blend of fun, love and nature. Kerala was also a recommended destination by National Geographic.

So came January and we were so excited about our Kerala Honeymoon Packages. On landing at Cochin we had our tour operator car promptly at the arrival gate with a placard mentioning both our names. An almost brand new Innova took us first to Munnar, the heaven of tea valleys, small streams and waterfalls. The two day stay at Munnar was filled with surprises and complimentary inclusions by our tour operator. The candle light dinner by the valley side was definitely one of the most romantic moments in Munnar. We also spend our morning at the famous top station and Mattupetty dam.

As we climb down from Munnar we reach our next destination of Thekkady. Rich with wildlife we get to see wild birds, wild squirrels and umpteen monkeys on the way. The place offers us a boat cruise right through the forest reserve. I believe it is the only place in the world where you can cruise through the middle of a forest reserve. Our Kerala honeymoon trip was even more special since we saw an elephant herd crossing the lake. A herd of around 30 elephants with calves, tuskers and mother elephants, it was a real amusement and surprise. The boat driver said it was only his 3rd time he saw such a sight in his past 6 years of experience.

After spending two days at Thekkady we started for Kumarakom, the most sought after tourist place in India. The land of houseboats and backwaters, both of us were excited to experience floating in the houseboat. As we boarded on to the houseboat we were served with fresh juice and then started our cruise. The meals severed onboard was one of the most delicious I could ever imagine, fish fried on banana leaves with hot rice along with a number of local dishes, it was truly mouth watering. We are thankful for our operator who insisted that we take this food as complimentary benefits of the package.

The next day of our Kerala Honeymoon was at Cherai beach, moving out of the houseboat at around 9 am we reached the resort at around 11 am. Unlike the beaches in Juhu, these are calm places where you feel nature complimenting your romance. The beaches are calm & clear along with the slow breeze passing you. We were accommodated at a sea facing room in the resort, we kept the windows open to have the moonlight enter, and the sound of waves was more a rhythm for us to tap our fingers alongside each other.

From Cherai, it was time for us to call it a day and pack up back home. As we end our honeymoon, we are going back with cherished memories, hundreds of pictures to be uploaded on facebook, and even more as rekindled loving souls devoting ourselves to each other.

Kerala honeymoon trip cannot get any better; it was already at its best. I am overwhelmed that India has such a romantic and peaceful destination. It is really gods own country, I recommend anybody who plans to take a week off with your spouse to take Kerala Honeymoon Package and really relive your honeymoon!
