Paris is the capital city of France and is the largest city in France. Paris is very famous for its media, entertainment, fashion, food, etc. It is common in Paris to see two male or two females loving each other, going out together or even kissing each other in public. Paris is indeed the same city which is very popular and world famous for the LGBT Parades held every year. Usually in Paris this event takes place in the month of June every year. This is one of the most awaited events in Paris. Many thousands of people gather in Paris for this celebration. The Paris Gay Pride Parade and Festival is one of the best and the most popular Gay Pride event ever.
Usually every year attendance to this event is more than a couple of hundred thousands and each and everyone who attend this parade are never left unsatisfied. Traditionally all people gather together in the afternoon and start together from Republique in Paris and cover almost the whole town of Paris and get to Beaubourg via the Marais by late evening. The route is not usually confirmed till the last minute before the start of the event. Following the grand parade is usually a huge party with all dance fests and extravagant activities. The party is traditionally held in the Marais district as it is the place for clubs, pubs, hotels and many more facilities for the Gay Pride Parade party. The celebration of the Gay Pride Paris is like that of a carnival's and attracts more and more people every year. The growing population of gays, lesbians and transgender people may be the sole reason for this. Lesbians, Transgender and Bi-sexuals also join this parade and hence it is just a parade to express each others love. The Paris Gay Pride Parade Celebrations for 2009 is to be held on the 27th day of June. As of the information now it is said to be starting at 14:00. from the Montparnasse-Bienvenue metro station and slowly move onto Seine River, Boulevard Saint-Germain, Pont de Sully Bridge and Boulevard Henri IV and finally conclude the Parade by around 17:30. at the Place de la Bastille, where the traditional dance party is to be conducted. The Gay Pride 2009 is sure to bring in more crowds than that of the last years people support. The party is estimated to continue for 3-4 hours thus finishing the LGBT parade at around 20:00 or 21:00. The Gay Pride 2009 parade is going to be called the ‘Marche des Fiertés LGBT' in France.
