Getting away from it all on a trip to India

If you've never visited India before, you should prepare for a number of surprises - many of which can be extremely pleasant in offering a break from the norm. Many people visiting India for the first time head to Agra, home to one of the most iconic images of the country - the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal isn't the only reason to visit Agra however, nor its only architectural wonder - with no less than three World Heritage Sites in the area. Staying in the city, you can also make day trips to see other sites of interest such as Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Itmad-Ud-Daullah Tomb and Sikandra Akbar's Tomb, as well as enjoying the authentic cuisine in some of India's finest restaurants.

To get away from the crowds and stay in the lap of luxury during your India holidays, you may prefer to visit Jaipur - popularly known as the Pink City - which is also home to many impressive landmarks and monuments. Some of the world's top hotels are located in this city, which is popular with business travellers and sightseers alike.
