Must See Activities on Your Brixham HolidaySubmitted by artavia.seo Thu, 1 Oct 2009
If you're planning a holiday in Brixham there are some things you don't want to miss, and they include Compton Castle, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, Quay West, Pirates Bay Adventure Golf, and the Brixham Heritage Museum. All of them are great places to visit, and you might want to budget more time for some of them than others, depending on what you really like to do. Compton Castle and the Brixham Heritage Museum aren't going to be as interesting for very young children, but history buffs and adults who just like learning about an area, as well as older children, should find the castle and the museum quite fascinating. There's a lot of heritage that can be discovered there, so both of those places should definitely be on the list of things that you want to see in Brixham. Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is a great choice for the entire family or group of friends, no matter what their ages. With hundreds of animals, it's an all day affair that anyone and everyone can enjoy. It's better in good weather, so pay attention to the forecast chance of rain and the time of year to get the maximum enjoyment from this attraction.
Quay West and Pirates Bay Adventure Golf are also fun for all ages, but they're more geared toward the younger crowd. Quay West is a theme park, and Pirates Bay is a golf course for family fun, not for the serious golf crowd. You can dodge the 'cannonballs' and other hazards while playing through the course, and at Quay West you can enjoy the pools, flumes, and water slides. Older adults might not get as much enjoyment from these attractions, but that largely depends on their levels of health and fitness. There's certainly something for all ages in Brixham, so if you're taking a holiday there with friends and family members you won't be at a loss for things to do. There are also other Devon attractions that you can enjoy, but the ones mentioned here should go at the top of your holiday planning list so you can have the best time possible while you're visiting Brixham. Don't let the time of year stop you, either, because you can still have a lot of fun in the off season when the weather might not be as perfect but there won't be as many crowds, either. Any time is a fun time in Brixham.
