Places to Go in Buffalo

Everybody has heard of Buffalo and it's weather, wings, Bills, and of course niagara falls. But if you are looking for a nice place to go on vacation, most people overlook the nickel city. Buffalo, NY has a lot of charm and attraction, even though it is not booming like it was in it's prime. So if you can get past the snow and the Bills fans, you might want to give it a try.
The biggest attraction to Buffalo is Niagara Falls, which is a short drive away from Buffalo. If you have never seen niagara falls, then it is a must you come to Buffalo to see them. I lived in Buffalo for many years before ever seeing the niagara falls, but once I did, I went there every summer. If you are looking to visit Niagara Falls, then Buffalo is the best place to stay. Niagara Falls, NY is an industrial town with not much to offer besides the falls themselves. Another option is Clifton Hill, in Ontario. The Canadian side of the falls has a lot more attractions and a Casino, but the wax muesums and stores are all big tourist traps. They look fun and exciting, but you'll go through 200-300 dollars if you have kids. On the American side there are a few nice things like the Maid of the Mist. There is also one in Canada, but the American One has some really fun things to do.

If you are not into getting wet, then a different place you could go would be the Albright Knox Art Gallery. The Albright Knox has a many masterpieces there year round. They have some really good traveling exhbits that are same as the ones you will see at the muesums in NYC. All in all, the Albright Knox is a great place to start a summer day.

Right next to the art gallery is Deleware park. It is the biggest park in Buffalo and it is just beautiful. I usually go there and have a picnic after going to the art gallery on a nice summer day. They also have a golf course and anything else you would find in a park like basketball courts. This place always has a lot of people but it never has too many.

One other fun place to go in Buffalo is Shea's Performing Arts center. The theatre district is one of the coolest parts in the city of Buffalo. It is a really nice place to go on a date, and it has all of the major broadway shows. It is one of the must see places in Buffalo, NY

As you are going through Buffalo, you will see lots of stunning architecture. It is one of the most amazing cities I have seen. When all is done, make sure you visit the original Anchor Bar to try their famous Buffalo Wings.
