Serviced Apartments Liverpool Soar in Popularity-00-3810

Liverpool's economy has always been intertwined with its docks, which made Liverpool an important industrial centre in the 18th and 19th centuries and meant that the city contributed to the growth of the British Empire as well as the transatlantic slave trade. Although the importance of the docks has decreased over the last century, many buildings have been converted into apartments or office space and the area has become a highly desirable place to live and work. A number of Liverpool serviced apartments in the area now provide business visitors to the city with an attractive and unusual place to stay, and all are within easy walking distance of the city centre.

Liverpool's council is keen to encourage economic growth and has instigated a number of projects to encourage business development. In May 2009 it signed the Small Business Engagement Accord from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), which prioritises listening to the needs of small, local businesses and thus preserving the services and networks they need to survive. For anyone taking advantage of this thriving business environment, the serviced apartments Liverpool has to offer provide the ideal environment for busy entrepreneurs. Because they are more spacious than hotels, they provide a peaceful, home-from-home environment in which guests can work after hours or entertain colleagues. However, they also provide plenty of space to relax after a busy day.

The city's location makes it a key business destination, too. Liverpool's extensive road and rail networks mean that business travellers have easy access to other cities in the north of England, but the city is also well connected to cities in the south via road and rail: the journey from Liverpool Lime Street to London can take as little as two hours. Add to this Liverpool's John Lennon Airport - the fastest growing airport in the UK - and the city's port, which still operates ferries to international destinations, and Liverpool is a business destination with fantastic connections. The majority of the serviced apartments Liverpool has to offer are near public transport links of some kind, meaning that business visitors can easily travel across the city or to other business destinations.

Tourism is another flourishing industry in Liverpool and now forms a significant part of its economy. As well as the never-ending Beatlemania that draws tourists to the city year after year, the cityscape is lined with historic buildings constructed during the 19th century boom. The site stretching from Albert Dock, along The Pier Head to Stanley Dock was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. There are a number of museums and other attractions in the area including the Tate Liverpool and the popular Merseyside Maritime Museum. No one staying in a Liverpool serviced apartment will be short of things to do to occupy their time.

Serviced apartments Liverpool are an increasingly popular choice with business travellers in the city. Leading serviced apartments agency SilverDoor has a wide range of properties available in Liverpool and other UK locations.
