Barton-on-Sea
The seaside village of Barton-on-Sea has a safe beach which offers some fantastic views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight in the distance.

Beaulieu
When traveling through this village keep an eye out for donkey and ponies who wonder through the narrow ancient streets. The village is centered around a wide tidal river and has a few small shops and a pub, it most famous attractions are the National Motor Museum and Palace House.

Boldre
Boldre is a small pretty village with narrow streets and lanes with a beautiful 800 year old church.

Bramshaw
Bramshaw lies close to Piper's Way, the highest point in the New Forest. The village's church has been built over many centuries and its architecture reflects the many different periods.

Brockenhurst
Brockenhurst is home to the main train and bus interchange in the New Forest. The village is situated in some of the most beautiful country side in the area and it pretty green often has local New Forest ponies grazing on it. Many of the New Forests walks and trails have their start in Brockenhurst.

Eling
Eling is home to one of the few working tidal mills around so its mill and heritage centre along the old quay are worth a visit. There are plenty of good walks to be found along the pretty river.

Exbury
The village of Exbury is found on the banks of the river Beaulieu and is home to the world famous woodland Exbury Gardens.

Fordinbridge
Fordinbridge is well known for its medieval stone bridge which spans the river Avon with its fine seven arches. The village has many shops and pubs to keep the adults happy while the riverside playground will keep the kids entertained.

Fritham
The villages' small pub, the Royal Oak, is often referred to as the New Forest parliament.

Hythe
A quick trip along the Victorian pier in Hythe is a must before you hope on board a ferry across to Southampton and catch a glimpse of all the vast ocean liners coming in and out of the busy port. When back on dry land a walk around the towns Victorian and Georgian buildings are recommended.

Lymington
Lymington's narrow streets are full of period cottages and houses while its busy high street is full of shops and leads down to the quay side and marina. Car ferries to the Isle of Wight can be caught just outside of the town.

Lyndhurst
Lyndhurst is the capital of the New Forest and has been since William the conqueror first set up his hunting grounds here. The village has plenty to keep visitors entertained, from the New Forest Visitors Centre to plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. There is also the chance to visit the original Alice in Wonderland (Alice Liddell) in the churchyard.

Milford-on-Sea
This seaside village offers some fantastic views of the Needles and Christchurch Bay. The village has a shingle beach, popular with anglers, and a number of shops, cafes and pubs as well as a traditional village green.

Minstead
Minstead is famous as the final resting place of Sherlock Holmes author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who is berried in All Saints Church.

New Milton
New Milton is one of the largest towns in the New Forest with a number of great shops. It is located close to the sea and open forest.

Ringwood
The town has for centuries been the main market town of the New Forest and sits on the western edge of the forest on the River Avon. The town has a mixture of new shops, thatched cottages and historic inns.

Sway
Sway used to be famous for its tower, now though people visit the village for its well renowned art gallery.
