For many of us the summer is a time of BBQs (weather permitting), evening drinks with friends and long weekends. For the kids it's weeks away from school, playing time with friends and inevitably the ‘I'm bored' situation once they have exhausted all of their computer games and got fed up running around the park and using their bikes. So for the parents that are at this point and are looking for something a little different for their children and struggle to find something new to do this article can help you.

Worry no more, this article will look at three popular theme park attractions on the Isle of Wight which will be ideal for keeping your little monsters entertained and out of trouble for the whole day.

The first theme park on our list is Dinosaur Isle. This is Britain's first purpose built dinosaur attraction and is located in the stunning area of Sandown. This is a great opportunity to take a walk through time looking at fossils that lead back as far back as the dinosaurs 120 million years ago. Set in a stunning landscape you will be able to meet life size models of the dinosaurs from the Isle of Wight's history. See skeletons and fossils as they where found, and encounter the lost world of the dinosaurs that once ruled the Isle of Wight. This is a great attraction for the kids and not as scary as Jurassic park.

Robin Hill Country Park Adventure is option number two to take the kids out for the day. This lovely little attraction offers the delights and wonders of the Islands countryside and has something for all ages. With a whole host of childrens play areas and open space for them to run around and wear them selves out they are bound to have a nice day. The park has now opened five new woodland gardens which also includes a sculpture trail. The park also offers squirrel safaris every Thursday.

Option three is Fort Victoria which is housed on the north shore of the Isle of Wight and also offers a Marine Aquarium, which is a sea bed Archaeology Exhibition as well as a wonderful model railway. The location surrounding the area provides seashore and woodland walks and the site is one of the best vantage points for watching the solents boats and shipping in action.
