West Bromwich is a town based in the county of Sandwell, situated in the West Midlands region of England. Sandwell offers a wide range of attractions for visitors. In order to explore the areas historical buildings, you can visit Oak House. Built in the 1600's the house is currently an example of the Tudor way of life as it showcases a range of furniture from this time period. Visitors can also take part in tours around the house and workshops, which are held regularly in the year.

For picturesque landscapes in West Bromwich, visitors can go to Dartmouth Park which is set to be part of a huge restoration plan costing £4.4 million. In 1973 a new road was created which was referred to as the Expressway, in addition to many newly built roads, and this took down over two acres of parkland. Due to this, Tennis Courts and main entrances were removed however a new bridge was made for pedestrians to enter the park. The park still remains a great location for beautiful views and a relaxing experience.

Another park that is worth seeing is Sandwell Valley Country Park. The park consists of 1700 acres of land and is rather fascinating as it is located within a hugely industrialised area. Visitors can enjoy the woodlands, great nature trails and picnics areas alongside amazing lake views. You can also participate in activities such as Crazy Golf, fishing, football and tennis. Sandwell Valley Country Park is known for its events where you will come across enchanting firework displays and regular funfairs.

If you are interested in spending your day shopping, the Windmills Shopping Centre is definitely worth a visit. Here you will find a series of market stalls offering fabrics, jewellery and much more with shops such as Star Gold and Fab Crafts. There are larger and popular retailers found here also including Asda & Carphone Warehouse.

Another brilliant shopping destination in West Bromwich is Astle Outlet Park where you can buy designer branded clothing for a discounted price. The outlet houses many popular retailers including Nike Factory Store, Next, Marks & Spencer Outlet, Pavers Outlet and many more exciting labels. It is open every day of the week and has late night shopping on Thursdays.

To explore the historical foundations of the West Midlands you can take a trip to Black Country Living Museum. The museum looks at industrial Britain and the everyday lives of working class people. The entire museum is open-air and specially created trolley buses and electric tramcars have been installed for transportation use for visitors to travel back and forth from the exhibition centre to the canal-side village.

Black Country Living Museum is a fantastic way to spend a day out, especially for children, who are kept entertained by costumed demonstrators and working craftsmen who emulate Black Country life to its core. Children can take a ride on the swing boats at the fairground which was also a commonly known feature in the early 1900's when Black Country life was prominent.
