Don't Miss Street Foods If You Visit Bangkok

Submitted by smozwt

Small places often prove to be the best eating spots in many cities. Thai food offers a wide range of selection, internationally the popular street food dishes. There are many street side stalls in Bangkok which serves delicious food for tourist.

Vendors don't stick on to meal times, nor are different foods served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as Thais often eat multiple snacks throughout the day rather than full meals. A typical meal costs between B20 and B50 (you pay when you get your food), and most stalls have a few tables and chairs where you can eat.

Different stall have different varieties of food there. If you are not looking for noodles and other Thai dishes then find a different stall that offers plates and cutlery, order rice, and add your curry to the mix. If you are tourist don't worry about transportation as you can easily get car rental in Bangkok, not only for street food places but also for visiting attractive places in Bangkok.

Street food includes unripe mangoes dipped in sweet chili sauce, charcoal-grilled fish sausages, taco-like shells filled with shredded coconut, yet, noodles, the ultimate quick snack, prove to be the real test of any street stall. If you only eat at upscale restaurants geared to foreigners, you'll miss out on the chili, fish sauce, and bright herbal flavors that define Thai cuisine. Even if you're picky, consider trying simple noodle dishes and skewered meats.

If you think that cleanliness, sterilized utensils, capped cooks, gloved waiters are more reliable, well there is another side of the story too. Thais are fastidious about cleanliness. Many Thai dishes can be cooked relatively quickly, and the street food is so widely eaten in Bangkok that you will always find it freshly cooked.

At the end of the journey tourists often says that street foods are lot better and cheaper than the restaurant food. Also with the transportation, tourists mostly like tuk-tuk service to visit nearby places and cheap car rental services for visiting far places.
