Go out camping!

Submitted by Phillip Greene

At these times of economic crisis a great wisdom becomes obvious, why would you invest yourself in a business of which the value depends upon several Americans, resided far, far away from you, when you can round up your friends and family and take them all on a camping holiday! Since it is a self catering holiday, make sure you invite someone who knows how to prepare good food, and have him or her do the catering. Of course, you can always just bring some raw sausages and some firewood, should you not be able to find some on your camping site, and let everyone participate in baking them, while you hand them out hand carved sausage sticks!

Do not worry if the weather isn't perfect, just make sure you bring some camping equipment to allow for camping in all weather conditions. You should bring a tent for that purpose, although rain-suits for everyone can be enough should you expect only mild showers, so watch out for the weather prognosis. If you are planing to spend the night outdoors camping, do not forget some sleeping bags, and extra blankets and pillows for those who get cold at night. And some extra water and prepared food, so that you don't have to go back because you burned the sausages. More important than all of this is, of course, the location.

You should choose the location carefully, and check it out several times before you organize the trip to ensure it doesn't get trenched and muddy, or overcrowded on occasions. You can plan out routes and activities in the surroundings when doing so, to make for a more active holiday. You may consider camping parks if you have very young children coming with you, or if someone has a medical issue or is in a blessed condition - expecting a baby. The purpose of camping is to reconnect to the nature and yourself, and what better way to do so than to take along those dear to you with you and enjoy outdoors together.
