Mexico is known as one of the most popular tourist destinations for is historical and cultural sites. It is home to the Incas and the Aztec sites that have been standing there since thousands of years. However many of the tourists get attracted to the beaches of Mexico that are clear waters and white sand. Mexico is surrounded by water on many sides and staying at the beach resorts makes for a fantastic vacation. You can find some great beaches formed by the Pacific Island and the Caribbean Sea surrounding Mexico. You can indulge in some great water sports rides or just laze on the beach, the choice is yours.
Let's have a look at some of the best and most popular beaches in Mexico. 1) Acapulco - They say that if you have not been to Acapulco you have not been to Mexico. Acapulco is a tourist's delight as you will be invited by clear blue waters and the bright, sunny sky. There are plenty of resorts suiting all budgets and you can also take a dream cruise from here. Acapulco has some great pubs and discos along the stretch as well. 2) Cabo San Lucas - This popular beach destination is located in the southern part of Mexico. Unlike Acapulco, this beach destination is not very popular as it is detached from the mainland. If you are a nature lover, do not give this beach a miss as you can see plenty of coral and aquatic life. Diving is the most popular sport here. 3) Mazatlan - This place is a mixture of history and modern day. You can stay one of the popular hotels or condominiums that are getting a lot of favor. Besides the beach activists you can also opt for hiking trails leading you to the valleys which include historic structures such as El Faro. In case you need privacy then you can definitely try one of the less visited beaches here. 4) Puerto Vallarta - This popular beach destination is known for its neo classical look. You will find a lot of buildings here and the people here are warm and friendly. The people here are more relaxed then other parts of the country where life could be very hectic. You can put yourself up at one of the condominiums and villas that open up right on the beach. All these staying options are budgeted. 5) San Jose del Cabo - This is a small town in Mexico with a lot of small cafes and restaurants churning out great dishes. You can try your hand at Mexican specialties and also appreciate Mexican art in the museums. You can have a long walk at one of the beaches and also indulge in sports like golf. 6) Todos Santos - This place is not very popular but it leads to the famous town of Cabo San Lucas which is known for its Mexican crafts that find their way in markets all around the world.
