Greece has so much to offer, there is plenty to do and see. The first thing that probably comes to mind when thinking of Greece is of course Athens being the birthplace of the human civilisation. Athens has some of the top archaeological sites in Europe and boasts amazing historical museums and monuments like The Acropolis. The Acropolis dates back to around 500 AD and is one of the most recognisable monuments in the world.

Built around 11 BC, The Roman Agora of Athens is a big rectangular court which was built during Roman times after a donation from Julius Caesar. Nowadays it’s surrounded by a variety of shops.

Once you’ve got your fix of history Greece has so many different things to cater for your every need. If you like walking there are beautiful forests to walk through and mountains to explore as well as waterfalls and caves to discover. If you are looking for a family holiday marine wildlife parks allow you to see protected species like the Mediterranean green loggerhead turtle and the Mediterranean monk seal.

If you are after more of an adventure holiday there are plenty of extreme sports to do. You can try canyoning, kayaking and rafting on a monoraft or a hydrospeed which is like a half-surfboard that is highly buoyant. So I’m sure you can get your fix or try something new in Greece. Something in between? How about a nice relaxing spot of mountain biking.

If none of this takes your fancy and you are looking for somewhere where you can relax in the sun then you are in luck with Greece Holidays There a massive 380 beaches in Greece so you will never be far away from one. If you have a particular preference in the type of beach you can choose from pebbly beaches, sheltered bays, one of the beautiful stretches of beaches with golden sand or one with black volcanic soil.

The most popular Greek Islands are Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos, Skiathos and Crete. Each offer you a taste of Greek history though the archaeological sites. Rhodes is the biggest of the islands with Faliraki offering great nightlife.
