How to find the cheapest first class tickets

Do you want to know how to find the cheapest first class tickets? Wouldn't it be great if you knew how to get flight upgrades for next to nothing? Many travelers rely on the well known and popular travel web sites, but they may not be getting the best value for their dollar and there are often better deals available. I used to look at that sad curtain separating the rest of use from the promise land of first class, desperately wishing I was not stuck in a cramped seat with no less room or really any room at all! I am fairly sure you have probably done the same.

While the options can vary quite a bit, depending on your departure point and destination, you can often both fly in style and save a load of money. Learning how to find the cheapest first class tickets and cheap flight upgrades can be a matter of simple due diligence. First, be sure to do a little bit of research. Travel agents can often offer great tickets and value, despite their often shady reputation. Taking a little time to know your travel agent and providing them with good business can lead to some massive deals, even after accounting for their fee. Compare the prices and specials they offer you with what you can find from internet travel sites and the airlines themselves.

A bit of flexibility can go a long way towards savings. Flying out in the middle of the week and stay over a weekend usually nets a much cheaper fare from the airlines. If your flight is overbooked and you are willing to be bumped to another flight, you can often receive free airline upgrades in compensation for your flexibility and understanding. How to find the cheapest first class tickets can be a simple matter of malleable scheduling.

One other way to find that almost-mythical cheap first class ticket is to ask for ticket codes "Y-up" and "Q-up". These tickets offer free flight upgrades to first class when there are available seats. Since very few airlines have the luxury of sold-out first class cabins, there will usually be a free flight upgrade available. Sometimes the airlines charge a small additional fee for the upgrade that is well worth the additional comfort and service. Cheap first class tickets and free upgrade flights are more common than most people think and you can be flying in style if you take advantage of a few simple tips.
