Rajasthan Cultural Tour is the Best Way to Experience North India and Its History

Rajasthan embodies the romantic India, and is lovingly known as the “Land of Princes”, the earlier Rajputana. The Rajasthan Cultural Tour will take you on a whirlwind tour of this countryside located within the Golden Triangle of India. You’ll travel on camel through the desert, visit temples high in the jungle-filled mountainside, and sail across a still, clear lake to visit the Lake Palace Hotel. The Golden Triangle is home to not only the cities of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, but also some of the world’s most renown monuments and ancient architectures. By visiting the Golden Triangle, you will visit some of India’s largest metropolitan and modern cities… and then step into ancient ruins from the 6th through 15th centuries. This tour will leave you with a renewed spirit and fondest memory that you will want to come back to experience more of India.
For 13 days and 12 nights, you will savor the rich Rajasthan culture, and Golden Triangle India’s most exotic and historical cities. While in Delhi you will have time to visit the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi (Father of the Nation) Memorial; and The Qutub Minar. While driving through the villages of Rajasthan, you will stop in Mandawa to visit the 150- to 200-year-old havelies. Bikaner forms an oasis in the middle of the desert, and still preserves a medieval air. While in Oscian, you will visit the 7th century Mahavira Jain Temple and the 2000-year-old Jija Mata Temple. In Jaisalmer you will enjoy a gorgeous sunset from the back of a camel at the Sam Sand dunes. Jodphur, the second largest city in Rajasthan and once the capital of Marwar, is home to the imposing Mehrangarh fort and is also known as the “blue city”. Ranakpur is home to three beautiful 14- and 15-century Jain temples. Udaipur, tucked away in the Girwa valley, is one of India’s most romantic cities with it’s pristine Pichola Lake, the grand Rajput and Mughal palaces, and the Jagdish Temple. Jaipur, also known as the “Pink City” is home to Fort Amber, and the Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds. Agra is well known as the home of the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, plus the 16-century Agra fort and Sikandra, the grave of Akbar.
