The animals are left in open spaces, and are not kept in cages or prisons. They are free to roam as much as possible, and the kind of oppressive environment that used to prevail in the older zoos is completely missing.

The Singapore Zoo is adorned with a variety of animal exhibits, starting from the most traditional orangutan, to the animals of the most fragile forests of the world. All kinds of species can be seen in the Singapore Zoo, be it exotic or common. The major attractions are the Pigture and Reptile Garden, which perhaps can give you the best idea of what is in store for you.

Beyond just being a Tourist attraction, Singapore Zoo is all about animal preservation and their conversation. When you visit it, you get to see the added dimension of the zoo.
