We human beings generally tend to forget the wonders and fascination that we all have with the animals. The Singapore Zoo connects us with the animal kingdom, which is very much a part of our world, but we just tend to become oblivion.

Singapore Zoo is one of the most primitive destinations, no matter how old we get, whenever we visit the zoo, we all get the child like feeling and we have fun pointing at the animals and smiling. It is perhaps a place where some part of us is always ready to stand up and visit.

The Singapore Zoo has animals being kept as if they were living in their natural habitats. The animals are kept in large and spacious enclosures, where they can feel comfortable, and home like. The animals are separated from the visitors by placing natural barriers or wet moats in between. These barriers are so cleverly designed that they look like a natural part of the enclosure and are usually kept hidden. The kind of barriers to be used depends majorly on the types of animals, but the zoo makes it a point to keep the open concept of the zoo intact while designing the barriers.

The predators are generally placed in massive glass enclosures to ensure the safety of the visitors. Also the naturally agile animals are kept in huge enclosures to ensure the same. The animals are left in open spaces, and are not kept in cages or prisons. They are free to roam as much as possible, and the kind of oppressive environment that used to prevail in the older zoos is completely missing.

The Singapore Zoo is adorned with a variety of animal exhibits, starting from the most traditional orangutan, to the animals of the most fragile forests of the world. All kinds of species can be seen in the Singapore Zoo, be it exotic or common. The major attractions are the Pigture and Reptile Garden, which perhaps can give you the best idea of what is in store for you.

Beyond just being a Tourist attraction, Singapore Zoo is all about animal preservation and their conversation. When you visit it, you get to see the added dimension of the zoo. It details the conversation of the animals, and this is like a visual campaign for the tourists. It is just not a matter of entertainment, but is a way to educate and inform people and to inspire them to preserve the natural fauna of the world. It helps in bringing forth the beauty of the animal kingdom, and the fact that we essentially need to help preserving them from getting damaged and extinct from the world.

The zoo carries a lot of campaigns and shows to entertain and remind the public of the fact that there are a lot of fragile species of animals that needed to be taken care of and should be preserved. Some animals are preserved for years and years through campaigns and indeed memories.
