Summer Fun at Deer Valley

It is true that Deer Valley is known for its skiing, but it is also a fun place to visit during summer vacation. The same mountains that skiers enjoy in winter months are just as enjoyable during the summer months. These activities are available for people of all ages.

In June, Deer Valley visitors can enjoy lift-served mountain biking. That's right! The lift will do all the hard work bringing you to the top of one of Deer Valley's gorgeous mountains and then you can enjoy the excitement of biking to the bottom. Two chairlifts are open offering more than fifty miles of downhill fun. Similar services are offered at the Canyons. If you want to visit other places besides Deer Valley, there are roughly 200 miles of biking trails in and around Park City. There's a wonderful paved biking path that's great for families. There are plenty of local shops that can equip you with bikes and helmets if you don't have your own.

For those who want to relax and enjoy the countryside, they can take advantage of the same Deer Valley chairlifts to take a gorgeous scenic trip to the top of the mountain. Once there you can you can take a relaxing hike to the bottom or catch the chairlift. For those who would like a workout, just begin at the base and reach the top the traditional way! If you are visiting during a music festival; you will be able to enjoy great music, food, and environment in the outdoor amphitheater.

In addition to hiking and biking, the Park City area offers other recreation in the form of fishing, horseback riding, and hay rides. Several nearby outfits give horse-drawn hay rides around Park City. This is a perfect family activity for a warm summer evening. In addition to this there are also beautiful golf courses where you can relax and enjoy nice weather while playing golf at 6,000 feet. One last attraction particularly for the skateboard lover is the big skate park found in the City Park. This park is Utah's largest outdoor cement facility and is open all summer long.

So whether you like to bike, hike, ride, golf, or board; Park City is the place. If you simply want to relax; unwind outside with a cold drink and your favorite book. The weather in this mountain town is beautiful during the summer. Wonderful vacation memories are formed here!
