The Internet is the Answer to Cheap First Class Tickets

The internet can be a haven for not only cheap domestic airfares, but a source for cheap first class tickets for international destinations as well. The public has often been excluded from information on the best sources to get cheap first class tickets, but over the years a few pros have let their secrets leak out.
Being able to be flexible with your travel schedule is a must in order to have the best chances of snagging up cheap first class tickets. By adjusting your trip one day in either direction, you could save up to almost 25%, in some cases even more. Most of the ticket resell websites have tools that can check the rates of flexible departure dates. Orbitz.com and Travelocity.com both use this tool to help travelers keep expenses down.
Remember that flexibility is good, but being able to purchase the ticket in advance is even better. It's not hard at all to track the airfares for different airlines over the course of a month or two if you have a trip coming up. Sites that track airfare such as Yahoo.com can be very beneficial. Booking the seat on first class is easier when done far in advance. It is recommended bookings for domestic flights are done around 3-4 weeks in advance while international flights are best done a month or more in advance.
While there is still truth to the old idea that choosing not to fly out on a Saturday night is cheaper does still hold some truth, this rule is not set in stone. The best chance at getting a first class seat is by comparing online sites and looking for the least busy flying days. Monday and Friday tend to be extremely busy in first class since many business people are either flying to work or flying home for the weekend. If at all possible try to stick with flying mid week for both the departure and the return home dates. This increases the chances of getting cheap first class tickets for the entire trip.
Another thing to consider is where you choose to fly too. Many business men and women are going to want to fly directly to the larger cities. If you opt for a flight that bypasses the city and hits an airport at a smaller city, then the chances of getting a cheap first class ticket are much greater. A good example of this would be choosing to fly into BWI as opposed to Dulles. Riding the metro is fairly cheap and can easily get you to your destination.
When it comes to travel, there's nothing like getting a great deal on a cheap first class ticket. We have become a society that likes to indulge in the luxuries and finer things in life. We shouldn't be denied this concept while riding in an airplane. Coach does not have to be the final answer. Use the internet to your advantage. Check websites for the airlines directly, check at the counter before you board the plane, and check Accessfares.com which offers cheap first class tickets to most international destinations. Don't be afraid to use the internet that is in front of you for the best deals in airline fares.
