Do you like to ski or snowboard? Maybe you're a beginner who wants to learn. Well, there are plenty of ski resorts in Utah that will give you that opportunity!

The Salt Lake area hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic games, and for good reason. There are lots of resorts for skiers here. It's the perfect place to spend some time on the slopes. It offers a unique snow composition along with lots of sunny days, the perfect combo.

Snowbird is a large resort, with excellent classes available for beginners and families. You can also enjoy the shops and the great lodging. The amenities and the all-inclusive feel means that this resort is well worth the extra expense.

Brian Head Resort is rare among the ski resorts in Utah, in that it offers a mountain set aside completely for children and beginners. The mountain is known as Navajo Mountain, and it's right next to the learning center of the resort. Because of how it's set up, it helps put parents' minds at ease and also makes it easier for beginners who haven't quite gotten the hang of their skis yet.

Park City Mountain Resort is one of the more famous resorts in Utah. It offers instruction for skiers of all levels, and runs to cover a broad range of experience, as well. There are multiple levels of children's programs at Park City Mountain Resort, which strives to provide a family environment that's safe and fun.

If you're a beginner on a budget, try Wolf Mountain. This resort is located on the edge of the town of Eden, and it offers a very inexpensive skiing experience. The resort has great family packages available, and it well-known for its excellent teaching terrain.

Another resort dedicated just for beginner skiers can be found at Bald Eagle Mountain at Deer Valley Resort. It boasts of an area called Wide West. People of all ages can take classes at the ski school.

We haven't even scratched the surface when it comes to describing all the ski resorts in Utah. Beginners, whether traveling with friends or family, have dozens of choices for great instruction and fabulous skiing!
