Our grandparents are actually the ones who deserve grand vacations. Touring is the best (and safest) possible way that they could spend their free times. So, this coming holidays, why not take both of them out of your neighborhood for a few days?

If you can afford to give your grandparents a REAL sightseeing vacation --- something that's away from their daily (boring) routines and the pollution in the city, then, do we even have to tell you to take them on a senior cruise? Cruise Western Europe, for example. Usual western Europe cruise lines depart from Spain, and visit destinations in Italy, specially Rome, and France. We advice, pick the one that allots a bigger visit-time for Rome, as this city is definitely a must-visit for senior citizens. Rome, for one, is packed with art museums, ancient buildings and historic churches. What else would senior citizens want to see?

A cheaper way to take your grandparents "in a vacation" is by touring them around (but not just in your neighborhood, of course). Senior tours offer great opportunities for seniors to see "the best of best" of our country in a way that understands of the challenges that may come with traveling as “older people”. You may also get amazed at how many options and discounts there are for senior tours.

You can also enroll them in educational trips, classes or campus summer learning programs. These are a great choice for active seniors, and can be an opportunity for them to learn something they have always been interested in but didn't have the time to pursue (trust us, this fact will excite them).

If your grandparents are still willing to have some “adventure”, take them to places with expeditions! Take them to a mountain where they can trek, for example, or to Thailand where they can ride an elephant. Or take them to Africa for a safari expedition. Take your grandparents to the safaris where they can participate in activities like ascending in a hot-air balloon, joining an excursion into the "hinterland" to explore the Lichen fields and visit an ancient crater and petrified salt lagoon and viewing the changing landscape from Savannah plains.
