About Summerland Key

Everyone's heard of the Florida Keys, right? Those islands happen to be some of the most beautiful islands in America apart from Hawaii, though personally I like the Florida Keys better than Hawaii because there are far too many volcanoes in Hawaii than I am comfortable with. That being said, however, I can't help but note that whenever anyone says anything about the Florida Keys, the first place that pops into everyone's heads is Key West. Mind you, I'm hardly surprised about this. Key West is in fact THE face of the Florida Keys. I'm just saying that there are other better places in the Florida Keys now, and it's probably because they're not as “popular” as Key West. I would like to make a case in point for Summerland Key.

http://www.summerlandkey.com/>Summerland Key happens to be one of those islands that is blessed with the fact that it's one of the Lower Keys – meaning that less people have heard about it, developed it, and disturbed it. Which, of course, means there is less traffic in the water and less likelihood of us affecting the marine environment. You can also look at the community of Summerland Key as something of a joy – it's where people who work elsewhere live; in other words, it's a place where you rest, where you get away from all your troubles without having to go too far or having to book for vacations. Summerland Key is a nice place, with its own share of excitement – there's this aquarium here that showcases all the native fish of Florida, and many adventurous activities to take part in like sailing and fishing. The place is idyllic without being backwards – it was originally developed to be a high-class housing area after all. But in the end, it is the relative peace that you get out of staying there that makes all the difference.
