Celebrating the Royal Wedding in Serviced apartments London-00-4446

Transport for London (TfL) has announced this week that it will release a special edition Royal Wedding souvenir Oyster card. The card, which will go on sale eight days before the wedding, will cost the same as a normal Oyster card (5 deposit plus 5 credit). According to the London Evening Standard, this means that if the cards are kept as souvenirs - which many will be - TfL could make between 3.75 million and 7.5 million.

TfL isn't the only business cashing in on the Royal Wedding: London souvenir and party shops are full to the brim with memorabilia, from mugs and plates to cupcakes and coins. The Centre for Retail Research estimates that the Royal Wedding will give a 515.5m boost to retailers across the UK, and it's expected to bring up to a million visitors to the capital. Events such as the Royal Wedding always bring a boost to the local economy, but for anyone travelling to the city even on unrelated business finding accommodation in hotels can be difficult. The serviced apartments London has to offer provide an excellent alternative.

For any businesspeople who are keen to catch a glimpse of the royal shindig (and let's face it, there are lots of us), there are numerous serviced apartments London in the area that they can use to feel part of the goings-on when they're not out on business. There are numerous serviced apartments around Westminster and Green Park, in a relatively green, peaceful environment slightly outside of the main business areas. However, as the area is covered by extensive public transport it will not take visitors very long to get to Canary Wharf and the City.

On the other hand, for those keen to escape the celebrations, there are some excellent serviced apartments London closer to these main business areas. Serviced apartments in Canary Wharf and the City provide the perfect antidote to Royal Wedding fever: in particular, those staying in Canary Wharf will find historical buildings and tourist attractions replaced with striking modern architecture and canal-side bars and restaurants.

Finding business accommodation can be problematic when large events such as the Royal Wedding bring visitors en masse to a city: hotel rooms get booked up far in advance with one or two day stays, meaning business accommodation bookers are unable to book the longer stays that they require. They will not generally have this problem with the serviced apartments London has to offer: most serviced apartment providers will set minimum stays on their properties to ensure that the longer stays favoured by business travellers are not blocked by shorter stays.

Most serviced apartments London are equipped especially for business travellers: most provide broadband and direct dial telephones and many provide extra facilities such as meeting rooms and secretarial services. Most will have a separate living area with a sofa and television, perfect for anyone who wants to watch the Royal Wedding in comfort.

Serviced apartments London provide the perfect environment to celebrate the Royal Wedding. Specialist serviced apartments agency SilverDoor has over ten years worth of experience in providing accommodation for business travellers in the UK and worldwide.
