Did You Know Florida Is America's Top Winter Vacation Destination?Submitted by willard_7ph Fri, 21 Nov 2008
Florida is one of the favorite winter vacation retreats for millions of Americans from the frigid northern states and Canadian provinces. Contrary to public belief, though Florida enjoys a lot more sunshine during the Summer months, it receives one of the largest number of sunny moderate temperature days in winter, which attracts vacationers. Combined with its variety of entertainment options from the theme parks at Disney which are crowded all year long to the nightlife at Miami and the deep-sea adventures at the Keys, there is something about Florida that keeps them coming. It is also a popular vacation destination for foreign visitors. In the summer months, many families with children on school holidays brave the tropical heat of Florida to visit the Disney World entertainment complex. Early Spring is a good time to visit this semi-tropical land as the temperatures are usually warm but not oppressively hot.
It is blessed with a very hospitable semi-tropical climate that offers hot rainy summers, mild winters and near ideal spring and fall temperatures. Though the threat of tropical storms and hurricanes loom during the late summer and fall, all that is forgotten by the time winter arrives. Winter offers pleasant days and mildly cold nights. The North-East United States has a lot of ski resorts and winter sports. However, not everyone wants to put on their skis and slide down a hill. A lot of people consider a vacation a time to relax, spend time with family in a family-friendly setting and get away from the stresses of modern day life for a few days. That’s exactly what Florida offers. Beaches are a great example. There are almost no beaches in the North-East except for the shore along Atlantic City, but they just don’t compare to the ones in Florida or Southern California. Another reason is the widespread availability of winter-ready vacation rentals . Florida has, by far, the most number of vacation rentals of any US State. Most rental owners realize the significance of winter tourism to their bottom-line and hence offer amenities such as a cozy fireplace, centralized heater, kitchens stocked with Soups and other winter food. And finally, they also offer deep discounts during Winter to attract more tourists. Plan your next Winter vacation in Florida at one of its confortable vacation rentals, you will create memories that you will not forget for a long time.
