Hello Hawaii

Up until today, Hawaii has a reputation for being THE vacation beach spot to visit in the whole wide world. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but what most people fail to remember is that Hawaii offers a whole lot more than just its beaches. The whole of Hawaii is beautiful, if we only knew where to look in its islands and aquatic territories. If we knew where to look, then everything that is wonderful about Hawaii would not be hidden behind the idea of “great paradise beach place”. Because Hawaii is more than just its beaches. It is the sum total of all the natural and historical wonders that each of its islands has to offer.

Thankfully, there are currently more attractions in Hawaii now that focuses more on ecotourism and historical tourism than it used to be in the past. There is also more focus on cultural tourism than ever; while it is true that part of the exoticism of Hawaii in the past included Hawaii culture in the form of luaus, a few Hawaiian phrases, hula dancing and the like, Hawaiian tourism has now become more conscious of preserving everything that makes Hawaii the beautiful and the unique place that it is. Which is why they are now encouraging not just the locals, but also the visitors, to help maintain the delicate balance that ensures that the natural, historical, and cultural wonders of Hawaii would not be destroyed by irresponsibility and ignorance of the importance of natural and cultural preservation.

So the next time you visit Hawaii, remember that it's not just the beaches and the warm weather that makes it Hawaii. Take a few trips to their cultural center, visit their nature centers, go on a few island tours. Who knows? Maybe you will find what you always needed in the lesser-known charms of Hawaii.
