Port Douglas - the home of the Tropical North’s.

Port Douglas is located about 80 kms from Cairns and is well connected by road and air. An important destination on the tourism map of the world , Port Douglas has a great inflow of tourists – both Australians as well as international tourists.

Earlier known as Island Point, it was later renamed Port Douglas after the Queensland Premier, John Douglas. Port Douglas is ideally located close to two of the world’s Heritage sites namely, The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. One can visit the other places of interest around Port Douglas while making this wonderful place their base camp.

There are several organised cruises to the Great Barrier Reef and tours to the Rainforests from Port Douglas of which one can be a part. The natural beauty of the region is sure to leave you mesmerized.
