Whilst the Credit Crunch holds all of Britain in a tight grip, the last thing people think of is planning an expensive family holiday for the summer. But is there really no way to enjoy the holidays away from home without having to pay a fortune? The simple solution to that question is going on a camping holiday to France. Whilst camping is not considered the most luxurious way of spending the holidays, it is certainly the most adventurous. And a wide variety of camping equipment has made the forces of nature quite a lot easier to deal with. Basic camping equipment includes a tent, sleeping bags, self-inflating mattresses and possibly a camping gas stove. To get a bit more luxury in your tent, most outdoor shops offer further camping accessories such as special camping kitchen equipment, camping knifes and tools, camping furniture, mosquito nets, camping lanterns and even a wide variety of sanitary products especially for camping. If the prospect of sleeping outdoors is still not entirely appealing, one can always rent a cosy little caravan on the camp site and enjoy bedrooms, a kitchen and even a small bathroom.

Camping sites usually have lots of facilities on site to keep the days (and nights) interesting, so even if you decide to set up camp in a holiday park not too close to the seaside, there are enough leisure activities to enjoy with the whole family. Especially a country like France has a lot to offer and whilst only being a channel crossing away from Britain, it has a warm summer climate and lots of leisurely beaches or interesting cities to visit. It is not only at the famous Cote d'Azur that you can enjoy holidays in France, but also at other places like the Bretagne, Normandy or even Paris if big city flair and a good measure of European history seems more appealing than tanning on a sandy beach. With a tent or rented caravan for accommodation, all of those destinations can be enjoyed at a decent price and bring a lot of fun, even in times of a problematic state of economy.
