One of the most important considerations when preparing for a trip is how much to pack. People waste a lot of time pouring over the amount of stuff they should bring on the dream holiday, but I'm here to make it simple for you: pack as light as you possibly can. Don't worry about it. Simply bring a couple of changes of clothes, and if you need more clothes at your destination, then you can buy some there.

Packing light will allow you to save energy, relax, and keep stress down because you will be going easy on your body. What if you have to walk a little further than you thought? Wouldn't it be strenuous to have to drag your big suitcase around town getting in people's way? What if you taxi driver or hotel concierge doesn't carry your bag and you are obligated to do it yourself? For sure a small, light bad would be perfect. Those little difficult moments might not be long, but they do increase your stress level a little bit, and remember, you are on vacation! You don't need stress on vacation. Make it easy for yourself.

One last reason to pack as little as possible is that you won't experience so much of a loss if your bags are missing. If somebody steals your suitcase and it is full of all your best and most expensive outfits and jewelry, you lost it all. If your luggage is lost in transit, then there might be some reimbursement but it will not cover everything, and it's also just very troublesome to go out and re-purchase all of your belongings once again. Bring the minimum and you minimize the risk of loss.

Holiday time is your chance to recharge your batteries and relieve your stress. Don't work yourself any harder than necessary by carrying around a heavy suitcase and worrying about its fate. Just take the absolute essentials and accept the idea of maybe going shopping at your destination if you need anything extra.
