To Those Who Create The Music, We Salute You
When the most of us listen to music we might not think much about the people who make it for us. Oh, we may very well know the name of the artist or a little about their background, but have we ever considered what can drive a person to dedicate their entire life to creating music. Beethoven loved to create it so well that even after he became deaf he continued to make wonderful classical tunes. When a deaf person who can not even hear what he has created has a need to play so strong then that is what you must call an obsession for melody.
Some of the most obsessed musical artists of our time would have to be those who write, play, and sing rock and roll. It began in the 1950’s and became like a welcome plague in our land. Well, it was welcomed my many anyway. Since then there have been hordes of musicians who have solely dedicated their life to creation after creation, album, or in our time, CD after CD. Some of these artists have been given status like no others in history for their art in music. There have been those such as Jimmy Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, and more who are just as remembered today as they were while they lived. They have become legends because of the music they played.
Those who create the music have usually been the main source of inspiration for those who create the dance. After all, without music, what would we be dancing to? It is hard to picture someone dancing to a conversation. The Ballet, The Waltz, The Jitterbug, The Hustle, The Virginia Reel, or The Two Step would likely never have been invented at all unless someone first created the music. It is odd that music can be just listened to and enjoyed, but that it can also invoke us to almost uncontrollable movement sometimes when we hear certain things.
We should be ever so grateful for those who love the art of creating music so much that it is all they do. These kinds of people are the ones who tend to make for us the most enjoyable and most enduring music through out the ages. You know that Bach and Beethoven created something great because hundreds of years after their deaths people are still totally devoted to the music they made. Music brings us some of the most wonderful joys that we experience in life to be able to listen to it, just imagine the joy that those who actually create it must have.
