Writing a thesis, has always been a matter of concern for many students. However, whenever, you write a thesis, you should enjoy doing it. In other words, you should know how to make your thesis writing enjoyable and a rewarding piece of work. Following are six guiding steps towards thesis writing.
1) Check on the type of thesis that you intend to present.
It is important to first examine the kind of thesis that is suppose to be presented. A thesis can be analytical in nature, explanatory, argumentative with supportive evidence claims or just be in a narrative form.

2) Be efficient in your research efforts.
Your research efforts will turn valuable, only if you remain organized. You should keep track of your files in the early phases of your research. This will make your work more easy.

3) Think in the proper perspective.
It is a known fact that not many people will read a masters thesis or doctoral dissertation. A thesis or dissertation is not a piece of document that is read by general public. It is only meant for students who find the topic of interest, experts in the field, students advisor and above all committee members. Also, ensure that the topic of your thesis is interesting.

4) The content should be specific.
The content of your thesis should be specific and to the point. This will not only be beneficial to the reader but also help you manage the over all scope of writing your thesis.

5) The research problem should be worth, compared to the time spend on it.
You should choose a topic that is good enough to sustain further research. It is not
enough to finish the dissertation but also it should be capable of making future contributions in the respective field of the concerned research.

6) Improve on your research questions.
You can maintain your focus of inquiry by developing appropriate research questions. You should know how to deal with each research question / hypothesis and than be able to justify its inclusion. You can start by developing simple and straight forward research questions.

Overall, your research should be kept simple and learn to be pragmatic. Ensure that you get it right before you even start. Since research is considered as a process, you will be assessed based on how good you have executed that process.
