Growing industrialization, modernization and urbanization has disturbed eco balance and depleted soil fertility for future. We don't care for long term disasters that can take place if we continue with short term benefits by harnessing natural resources in our own style. Modernization of agriculture affects the profitability and sustainability in the following manner:

3) Decreasing efficiency of fertilizers because land has become addict to it.

The situation obtaining in our country demands that along with measures to check population growth, efforts are also made, in the interest of the present and future generations, to bring home to the people the horrifying consequences of lavish and extravagant consumption of food and non food materials and to impress upon them the urgent need to properly preserve, fully develop and optimally use the natural resources.
