How To Enhance Your Copywriting To Make It More Effective And User-Friendly | Network Marketing Copywriting TipsSubmitted by michael@michaeltmak.com Tue, 15 Jun 2010
Not long ago, I took up some copywriting skills training and took a few lessons out of it that I want to give to you.
When it comes to writing, many people get stuck because they are afraid and don't work based on a system. These people take a very long time to write a single article. Does this sound familiar to you? Well, I have gone through this and I know how depressing it can be. Below are 5 things to help you write faster and more customer-focussed articles. 1. Before you begin Who is your target prospect? What this question does, is it helps you to focus and narrow your article to the correct customer. The moment your customer reads this article, they connects with you. They can begin to feel as though you are talking to them on an individual basis. 2. What problem are you solving for your customer? Answering this question gets you focussed on your prospect's specific problem, therefore narrowing your article too. This helps you to avoid assumptions in your post. It also guarantees you speak to the customer using language they are already using, by focussing on their exact requirements. 3. How exactly does your solution solve your prospect's problem? This question gets you really focussed on the right customer and their exact need challenge, and how you intend to solve it. These three questions will help you write focussed and more targeted posts. 4. Are you having difficulty coming up with killer headlines and subheadings? If you are having a difficult time, then you definitely need to think about using http://www.thesaurus.com. Write out your planned headline or subheadline, and think about variations for some of the words in your headline or subheadline. Plug these words into the URL above and consider using some of the adjectives that you get. This helps you to come up with creative headlines that are not so dull. 5. If you are using an editor such as Microsoft Word, there is a little tool that is included, that you may be overlooking. Duplicate your article in Microsoft Word and when you have completed this task, check for accuracy by way of a spell check. If you have Microsoft Word configured correctly, you should have a Readability Index Score at the end of the spell check. What you are after is to write articles for the lowest grade level you can. Doing this will help make your articles more user-friendly and easier to read. I hope this will help you focus on writing fantastic copy and doing so efficiently.
