Hey! ...Wouldn't you like to generate free traffic to your webpage? Within minutes from now your about to discover 6 proven steps to get your articles read. I wonder whether you are aware that writing articles and submitting them to Ezines is a great way of driving traffic to your site and increasing your online profits, whilst building customer relationships...So why is it rarely ever used? I'll tell you why in a second ...I have recently had the brilliant opportunity to join the Terry Dean Internship programme. Who the hell is Terry Dean you ask? A leading Internet Business Coach, who went from delivering pizzas for a living to building a million dollar Internet business, I suggest you checkout his website at www.terrydean.org to find out more!! But to get back to the point, as an intern I have been given task of writing an article. If you're like me and writings not your strong point...the dreaded blank page and the hour's of frustration with nothing show. I know how you feel I would rather gorge my eyeballs out with a fork, and then sit down write! Ok that's going a bit too far...but you know what I mean!! So ...this being my first article ...I carried out some extensive research, and discovered 6 simple steps you should take to get every article read...as your probably aware this is top secret stuff!....please don't share with everyone! Are you ready to get your creative juices flowing?

1.Use a killer headline
This probably should come as no secret, but an attention grabbing headline could make the biggest difference between getting your article read. On average, 8 out of 10 people will read headline copy, but only 2 out of 10 will read the rest. So...I guess, its petty damn important! It's the first impression you make on your prospective reader. It should be able to entice the reader. I have learnt, as an intern that the best winning headlines are the ones that promise a benefit related to the article and at the same time generate some sort of curiosity. Just have a look at the one I have written for this article...and before you say anything... I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet...just helping you guys out!

2.An opening paragraph that engages the reader
You have got to keep your readers interested and grab their attention straight away, so that they go on and read the rest of the article. You can use a question like I have done, or a story...people love stories to relate too and can really help to captivate them.

3.Make use of short paragraphs, numbers and bullets
You don't want to confuse your readers. I sure hope I haven't! People are busy. So keep it straight to the point, simple, and easy to read. You can also make use of numbers and bullets. They allow each point to be emphasized, making it easier to remember and digest...it's all about you readers!

4.Subheadlines
You can also write subheadings throughout your article to subdivide your paragraphs and break each point into sections. Making it easier for your readers to move from one point to the other and keep them interested.

5.Positive language
Your whole article should project your enthusiasm and excitement about the subject you are talking about and your reader should be able to experience this friendly tone. In other words keep it interested and fun and enjoyable to read from start to finish.

6.Use a Resource box
A resource box or signature file, is what you usually find at the end of the article. Its main purpose is drive traffic to your site by getting people to click through it for an offer or find out more. Again you've got to think headlines, it must grab the attention of your reader at the same time generate curiosity. Oh Yeah... Please remember to click on mine! It's an excellent example! Go On! Do it now while you're thinking about it!!

Phew... My first article, wouldn't you agree there's not much to it! I hope it's been helpful! I'm sure your all on your way to writing engaging and captivating articles!!
