Easter Verse - Is It Actually Worth Listening To?

There are many Easter poems with springtime motifs for the popular holiday Easter. Some good ones are found online. Presented for your approval are some of these Easter poems.

Here is a popular Easter poem by Winfred Sackville Stoner Junior:

Breathing Easter joyous hope, despair can't stop it, no sorrow on this glorious day, an breathe the free fresh air around you.

This entry into Easter poems continues while hearing grand anthems that swell to the sky, and reading sweet Lilie's perfume, may you feel assured that your soul will not die, as life does not end in the tomb.

Spring and rebirth are expressed in many Easter poems.

Another of the Easter poems is called Easter Carol by Ellen Robina Field.

The world is filled with gladness; the bells of Easter ring; Each pure white lily's waking, to welcome infant spring.

This Easter poem has a chorus, much like a song.

Now listen all you children, and hear the song of bells, they read sweet things in heaven, the lord is born, your heart swells!

Sometimes Easter poems have to do with spring rather than religion. One of these is Five Little Easter Eggs.

Five little Easter eggs, lovely colors wore: mother a blue one, then there were four.

Four little Easter eggs, two and two, you see: Danny ate the red one, then there were three.

Three Easter eggs remain, before I could react, sister had the yellow one, now only two.

Two Easter eggs remain, now we have fun, brother wanted purple, now only one.

One Easter egg remains; it will be mine! I took the final egg, now none remain.

The Night Before Christmas inspired one of these Easter poems. It goes like this:

Was the day before Easter, and all through the woods, the bunnies were busy packing their goods. The eggs were tucked in their baskets, ready for the new, Easter day.

It ends very similarly to the Night Before Christmas. He uttered no sound as he hopped all about hiding the eggs and leaving no doubt, that the Easter Bunny had come much as he does every year, bringing baskets of happiness to children so dear.

A Google search can find more Easter poems. You will definately gain from listening to quality poetry at this time in the calendar. It is very relaxing and is considered to be good for the soul.
